Avoiding False Alarms

Protectron Security System will offer total peace of mind. Here are a few tips on how to avoid false alarms and the aggravation and costs associated with them:

1. Your Protectron system will notify you when the control panel battery is getting low. This battery should be replaced every 4 to 5 years. You can obtain replacement batteries directly from Protectron.

2. We recommend that you have your system inspected once a year.

3. Motion detectors should be placed away from items that could set off a false alarm (i.e. ventilation systems, fireplaces or any objects that could easily blow around like curtains, balloons or loose papers).

4. All users must know how to operate the system.

5. If you make any changes that could effect or impede the operation of your alarm system (i.e., if you get a pet, have work done on your phone line or coaxial cable, have renovations done, add a new user, or even move furiture around) please advise us first.
