“Safe Halloween”
Once again this year, Reliance Protectron is committed to improving
children’s safety on Halloween
Montreal, October 6, 2009 – True to its mission of protecting people at all times, Reliance Protectron Security Services will deploy some twenty prevention teams in various parts of Canada on Halloween night. The role of these teams will be to patrol the streets in order to encourage children to be careful.
Every year on Halloween, employees from all of Reliance Protectron’s offices take part in prevention activities in collaboration with local organizations, the police and citizens’ groups. Through schools, convenience stores and other organizations, they distribute different types of reflective stickers promoting careful behaviour to children and parents.
The message serves as a reminder to be careful on Halloween and lets people know that Reliance Protectron looks out for the public. Employees will give the children candy, in addition to stickers, on Halloween.
“Halloween is on its way, and Reliance Protectron is taking this opportunity to strengthen its commitment to the community by reiterating the importance of being careful on this evening for children large and small,” explained Patrice De Luca, vice-president of marketing and business development at Reliance Protectron. “Operation Safe Halloween fits into our mission, which is to protect people and their property. This is a unique opportunity to make direct contact with the public, to talk with children about the rules of safety and to help to make the streets safer on this very special evening. All communities greatly appreciate our initiative, and the employees are putting their hearts into this project.”
A commitment to safety in the community
To contribute to social well-being, Reliance Protectron plays an active role in every community in which it operates. The company takes part in numerous awareness-raising activities that bear witness to social concerns; in particular, it takes part in the Life SafetyTM program in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, the Poison Control Centre, and Block Parents.
