Protectron encourages and promotes ongoing staff training through various programs designed to help employees grow with the company. Managers also undergo training to help them coach their employees to further develop their skills.
Special Work Schedule for Monitoring Centre Employees Given the nature of our business and our mission, the company is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Protectron has developed a 7/7 schedule for employees at our monitoring centres: operators work 7 ten-hour shifts followed by 7 days off. This allows them the opportunity to enjoy high quality of life even if they sometimes work evenings, overnight, on holidays and weekends.
Orientation Program At Protectron, we do everything we can to help integrate and train new employees, notably through our special orientation programs for each position. Upon arrival, newcomers meet the members of their team and other departments and immediately receive all the information they need regarding their responsibilities, their team, and the training required for their position.
Skill Upgrading and Advancement Opportunities All Protectron job vacancies are posted in-house first to encourage the advancement of current employees. For the same reason, the company has developed a tool that lists the required skills for each department. Using the "Developing a Curriculum Method" (DACUM), allows all employees to identify the skills they need to fill a given position and adapt their training based on their personal objectives. In addition, it makes it possible to implement training programs.
In-House Communications
The quality of communication within a company is a key factor in its success. That’s why we developed the in-house newsletter Contact to keep employees informed about the company, its outlook, and new products and services. The newsletter also showcases achievements, applauds good work, and contributes to the quality and vitality of relations between the company’s various offices.
Protectron believes that humour is important in the workplace and has designed the “You Make Me Laugh” Contest to officially recognize the comic talent of employees whose sense of humour helps make the work atmosphere more enjoyable. Serious employers recognize the value of good humour!
